I have replaced both water valves, water filter and the ice maker itself as well but I am not getting any water to the icemaker. The valve gets power but only for about 1-2 sec. Also the line is clear from the second valve to the icemaker. No issue with water dispenser either

If so, did you contact LG to come out and see what's going on? Because I'm puzzled as well, like I mentioned in that thread from last year.

Yes had them come out (unfortunately I wasn't home) they tried 3 different trips to get it to work and gave up saying I needed a complete new door. That's after replacing the front control panel, trying a main board.... I'm just bull headed since I am an electrician myself and also stumped. Think I'm giving up and resounded to the fact if I want an ice maker, we need to buy a new fridge.

What's weird is the valve will turn on momentarily.

Ok, yes I really don't know why this issue is happening, hopefully another tech. or member that's seen this issue and fixed it can shed some light on it for us.

Other than that, I agree it's best to buy a new fridge.
