LG LFXS28968S/00 freezer and ice maker not working properly

For the past 2 days, we noticed that the ice maker wasn't making ice. Then today we noticed that everything in the freezer is starting to thaw. It's cold in the freezer but not cold enough. The refrigerator seems to be doing fine. The compressor seems to be working fine also. No frozen lines or anything. Any suggestions?

Are you sure your model number is correct? I can only pull up LFXS28968S/00

You may have a sealed system problem, what is the actual temp. in the freezer right now?

Any frost build-up on the back panel inside the freezer?

Sorry, it's LFXS28968S/00. Not sure what the actual temp is right now. I'll have to check when I get home.
The compressor is running and it's hot to the touch. I also noticed last night that the evaporator fans aren't running. There are 2 in the freezer and 1 in the refrigerator. There is no frost build up anywhere.

Jake, It's 63 degrees in the refrigerator and freezer. When I run through the test with the reset/test button, the fans work. After I get out of test mode and wait a while, the fans stop working.

Yes 63 is too warm.

If the compressor is running and the freezer is only 63, then you have a sealed system problem, most likely the compressor, as LG refrigerators are very prone to compressor failures.

So its best to contact LG at (800) 243-0000 to come out. Check your owners manual warranty, some models have up to a 10 year warranty on the compressor.

Okay thanks. I called and scheduled for a tech to come out. I forgot but I have an extended warranty on it thankfully.
