LG LFXS30766S french door fridge part is cold. Freezer remains at room temp.
It's been off for a few days. Powered back on with the same issue. So no ice buildup.

Tests from pressing the button 3 separate times on the pcb pass. Fans run, compressor kicks on with no obvious or out of the ordinary noises.

The LG linq app Self diagnostic returns the error code r dH
Tested the thermistor/sensor and they seem to be ok, I ordered a replacement just to be sure. What's not clear to me... are their 2 thermistor/sensors one for the fridge and a separate one for the freezer? i only find info on changing one in the bottom/freezer.

I am guessing the pcb is bad, I would assume if the compressor cools the fridge it's working?

I could not locate the service manual for this model.

But this model does have dual evaporators, so if the freezer evaporator is not cooling, you have a sealed system problem or 3 way valve problem. The 3 way valve sends refrigerant to each evaporator. Without the service manual we have no information on it to test it.

Yes, that's the service manual, Page 18 talks about the 3-way valve, but I see no mention of how to test it in the service manual, do you?

Nothing I see short of replacing it.
It does seem to activate. Can't tell if the 3 way valve is doing anything other than making noise like its activating when i cycle through test modes.

I started with the basics after finding the service manual. Looks like the start capacitor is bad. I ordered the start capacitor and the start relay to be sure.

You may have a sealed system problem then if it seems to be activating, because the freezer evaporator coil does not seem like its getting any refrigerant flow into it to make it cold.

Ok, good find, let us know how it goes.

After changing the relay and start capacitor the fridge is still cool and at the set temp, freezer dropped about 10° in 24 hrs.

Glad to hear the new capacitor and compressor start device made it better.(y)

Thanks for the update!

But it should be at 0 degrees F in 24 hours, so you still may have a sealed system problem to that freezer evap. coil.

Here's the capacitor for your model, in case others need it too:

Here's the compressor start device for your model:

Fyi: That was not for mine... I think the compressor was replaced. It used a 5304464438 start cap and a 513604045 relay. My guess is I'll have to find a tech, I don't have the tools ro r&r the freon system. Hoping it was a fix I could repair.

Those are Frigidaire part numbers, not LG part numbers.

I posted the OEM part numbers for your model above.:)

That would be what I would suggest as well.:)

Wonder if that may be part of the problem. That's what was on the compressor, matched part numbers. It's a linear compressor. I see a spot for the large silver start capacitor above the control board but no wiring for it.

Yes, I would agree.

LG parts and Frigidaire parts should not be mixed with one another.
