LG LREL6325F/00 slow to heat

I am only getting 240v at either the bake element (heater sheath) or the broil element; never both elements at the same time. I thought I understood that the bake element should be heating the entire time and the broil element for a portion of the time to help the oven reach temperature. Am I right about how it should operate or is it functioning correctly where the bake element comes on without the broil element and then then bake element goes off while the broil element comes on and then it just keeps switching back and forth between the two elements. As it is currently functioning, it takes 35 minutes or so to come to temperature when set to 350. Once it finally reaches temperature, it keeps steady.
I don't have the schematics for this model to see if both elements come on or not during preheat, so I can't answer that.

But your owners manual says this:
It is normal for the convection fan to operate periodically throughout a normal bake cycle in the oven. This is to ensure even baking results.

Does it preheat quicker in Convection BAKE rather than normal BAKE?
Ok, then Hopefully another tech. or member that's seen and fixed this problem can shed some light on it for us.

Other than that its best to contact LG to come out at (800) 243-0000 to come out and see why this is happening.
This is my first post. Do you recommend that I repost my original query to try to get another tech's attention or might they eventually see this thread?
Your welcome.
