Replaced temp sensor oven still heats to 335 instead of 375 and 350 instead of 400. Element glows nicely, what else could it be?

Hi,

These LG models are notorious for the relay board going bad and causing this problem. What happens is the heat relay on the board sticks either ON or OFF at times and will throw your temperatures off, or won't heat at all.

Here's the relay control board for your model you can order:
Relay Board 6871W1N012B

Its located in the back of your range, so you'd pull your range out from the wall, then unplug it, then remove the back access panel, then you will see it on the lower right side.

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks Jake, another symptom is it reaches a temp then begins to cool, does this relate to the same part as well?

Well Jake that was not it either. Stopped at 335 degrees again. Thoughts this is nuts replaced two parts and neither helped.

That's very odd, I've replace many of these and its always fixed it.

You will need to have LG come out and see what's going on.

Could it be the other circuit board behind the control panel? I could return this part for credit towards the next piece. Thoughts

Are you referring to this one:
EBR74632605 Pcb Assy

You bet! That's the only part left that can cause this problem. I've never seen that one go out, but as they say "There's a first for everything." LOL

The day it happened there was a noise like shorting wires a little light smoke, but no burning electrical smell. I will go that route next then if you agree it is possible.

Let ya know soon hopefully.

The have been killing me. First part looked right, matched mine exact but was someone's damage part missing connections and was obviously meant for garbage.
Part I received Friday was brand new, wrapped in plastic but had additional plugs, ports had different numbers etc. Called gal said it shows to be correct, its not. Kept hounding for part number on mine and the numbers I gave don't match anything but the first broken piece I got had the same numbers as mine.
Need some help here. Simple to change just not getting the part.

Where are you getting these parts?

What is the part number tagged on the box it comes in?

Take a photo of the part number tagged on the box it comes in.
