I have an LG top-freezer model that isn't cooling properly. I have checked the usual suspects for the freezer-working-fridge-not situation: there is little dust on the condenser coils, and after removing the freezer back panel there wasn't ice on the evaporator either. As near as I can tell there is only a single fan in front of the evaporator, and it does spin freely.
In addition, I ran the push-button tests on the main board and the fan DOES blow quite hard, so it is at least capable of running. However, there is very little airflow in the refrigerator section and it is barely cool, not cold (there is only a trickle of cool air from only one of the vents). The fan also doesn't seem to be running when I'd expect, such as when I lower the temperature, or open the door for a bit and then close it. Any ideas what could be causing this? Thanks!
