I have a LG (LRFCS25D3S) French Door refrigerator that isn’t cooling properly. It cools done some (Refrigerator 46ish - Freezer 36ish).

I hit the reset button hoping that would do the trick but it gave me a 22 22 error code.

I read online that code means it is a bad start relay but the compressor seems to be running and getting warm (not hot)…I’m worried the compressor is bad but I’m hoping for a miracle.

Any thoughts on this would be helpful before I just scrap it and move on.

Compressor and Fans are all running?

Remove the back panel in the freezer, we need to see the frost pattern on the evaporator coil, take a photo of it please and upload it.

Look at the last photo below, where it says NORMAL FROST PATTERN.

There isn't any frost on the coils at all. There was some condensation on the copper line but nothing more than that. Is it a leak in the system?

Yes Jeff, If the compressor is running and there is no frost on the evaporator coils then you have a sealed system problem.

The sealed system consists of the compressor, condenser, evaporator, heat exchanger, filter/drier and refrigerant. Common problems with a sealed system are bad compressors, refrigerant leaks, and system restrictions.

Check you owners manual warranty, some LG refrigerators have up to a 10 year limited warranty on the compressor/sealed system.
