FIXED LG Washer WM2487HRMA Leaking out bottom front

I have a front load LG Washer Model Number: WM2487HRMA, serial Number 903KWDJ05042. That is leaking out the bottom, seems like mostly out the front. I haven't pulled out the unit yet as it seems like not a huge leak but still leaking a little, maybe a cup a water for each load.

Any ideas on where to start looking? I saw a video posted about a LG front loads were a water drain baffle/hose assembly wears out and can spring a leak. Could this be it? The leak seems to be located more towards the front as I can't see any water leaking out back.

Hi,

You'll need to get a flashlight and look into the machine to see where the leak is coming from, the two most common parts that can cause a leak are the main tub seal, and the front door boot gasket.

Here's the main tub seal for your model(Video Included):
LG 4036ER4001B Seal


Here's the front door rubber boot gasket WITH a drain port for your model:
LG 4986ER0004G Gasket


For a door boot gasket WITHOUT a drain port, use 4986ER0004C.

A leak can be from just about anywhere. The best thing to do is get a good light and see exactly where the leak is coming from. Anything else is just a guess. Check the boot around the door

Found Location of leak

So I took off back panel and ran it through quick wash, didn't notice anything during drain, etc. But then noticed slow drip coming from top/back off washer, dripping off plastic drum.

I removed top of washer and saw this (in attached pics) part leaking, looks like Hot Water inlet valve. It was leaking/slow leak dripping from the bottom and then dropping on drum then running down.

Next steps? Do I just need to replace that part?

Yup, good find!

That's what you will need is a new HOT water side inlet valve.
