LG WM2140CW, WORTH FIXING? door seal/boot torn. slight bearing noise when spinning out.

Mother bought this washer dryer set brand new around 2010.

Recently did drum roller kit in dryer, works great.

Got a call that washer was leaking and found door seal/boot was torn. Thought I heard slight bearing noise when spinning out. Figured while I did boot that I should do bearing kit as well(possibly spider?)

Question is, I'm not a big LG fan but this set has seemed to last her with little repair. Is this set worth investing in or move on to something newer? Thanks

Its best to save the repair money for a new machine after it gets 10 years old with those issues you are currently having, those are big expenses.

What's so expensive about the boot and a bearing? A DIY guy could buy bearings and a boot for about $100. I did a boot about 4 years ago on a 2010 LG. Bearings on many tools.
I think the issue would be, do they still make the boot?
