Hi folks,

First time posting so apologies if I am in the wrong place here. I have an LG WT1701CW washer where the buttons on the control board started to go bad so I purchased a new display board from PartsSelect. The old board has some sort of capacitive touch (it seems to me) while the new board has very sensitive springs as buttons. When I put the new board (with springs) in and install the cover, the buttons do not work (since they are not depressable buttons but capacitive /touch buttons). I went and purchased a new display cover as well from PartsSelect but it was the exact same cover with the same issue.

I assume there is something easy going on that I am just missing but not sure what else to do at this point. Any ideas or thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,

I haven't worked on this model as of yet, Did you contact PartSelect for support on what the problem could be on this part? What is the part number they sent you?

Here's the parts diagram for your model: Parts for LG WT1701CW: Top Cover Parts
#061 is the main control board
#062 is the display board

I may not have provided the right description. I have the display board (062) but it doesn't work with the front panel assembly (050). The front panel assembly buttons do not depress but are touch. The new display board has springs for the buttons which are very, very sensitive but do require physical movement to engage. Since the front panel assembly buttons do not depress, I can't physically engage the springs when the assembly is on.
