Had to unplug and move refrigerator. When I plugged it back in would not cool properly but freezer was cold. Compressor was running, light frost was forming on evaporator coil, condenser coil was clean, and condenser fan was blowing. There are not any codes or light flashes displayed. Pushed the reset button on the board and the evap fans began to blow. Not sure if they were blowing prior. After reset it began working and cooling properly again. Intend to move it in the house as the primary so want to address any issues prior. Please offer suggestions as to what could be the issue or issues.

Thanks in advance.

When you move a refrigerator and plug it back in its best to give it 24 hours to stabilize the temperatures inside it.

How is it doing now?

Also what is the freezer temperature read with a freezer thermometer?

Put refrigerator/freezer thermometers in both last night. This morning the freezer reads 11F (set for 0F). The refrigerator read 51F (set for 37F). None of the fans inside the refrigerator appears to be turning. Compressor and condenser fan are working, Condenser coil is clean.

When I reset the board last weekend, all fans worked inside the unit. Saw the refrigerator fans and felt air circulating in freezer. None of this is occurring now. The little fan behind the air filter is not even working.

Really appreciate your help And insight.

Update.

Replaced the refrigerator temp sensor last night. No operational change. This morning adjusted the refrigerator temp setting down 1 degree from 37F to 36F. Within an hour the refrigerator temp dropped from 52F to about 39F. This leads me to believe there is an issue with the board. Would like your input.

thanks

No, I doubt its the board, because your freezer temperature should be at 0 F degrees not 11 F degrees.

These LG models are notorious for compressor problems, sounds like the compressor is starting to fail.

Check your owners manual warranty, most have an extended warranty on the compressor for up to 10 years.

Update.

Had the compressor replaced yesterday. Tech said i5 was damaged internally and failing. No surprise. Now, still have temp variation in the refrigerator. Ranges from 35-50. Not sure what to address next. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Have the tech. come back and check the refrigerant in the sealed system for proper low side pressure and for any refrigerant leaks.
