Hi Everyone

I have Kenmore Washing machine Series 100 Model 110.20242510. I can hear a loud grinding noise while running the spin cycle.
Just wondering if someone has the same issue with this particular model or series. I uploaded the short video of the same on
youtube. Following is the link:

Thanks

Hi,

Does it make that same noise when its draining the water out? Or just when its spinning?

If just when its spinning that indicates the bearing in the transmission is bad. You'd need to replace the transmission to solve this problem.

Here's the transmission for your model:
Transmission W11255272

There is a HOW TO video in the part link.

Hi

Thanks for your reply. I read somewhere on the internet that the bad splutch cam can be a cause of a loud
noise during the spin cycle.

Yes, remove the Splutch Cam Kit and see if the plastic teeth on it is worn down.

Thanks for your reply. I am in Canada. The price of gearcase/transmission for this washing machine is around 300 CAD plus tax.
I am not the original owner of this washing machine. Before purchasing the part I would like to know the capacity/size and estimated
price of this washing machine, so I can decide if it is worth to pay 300 CAD plus tax for the new transmission/gearcase.

I don't know the cubic feet or price of it from when it was new, you'd need to contact Sears and ask them.

Or ask them here:

I tried to register myself at http://www.shopyourway.com to post my question. I am unable to do it,
because this website only allows registering a customer with a USA mailing address.

The Kenmore washing machine model number consist of 5 letters on the sears website. As per my understanding
the model number should look like 110.20242510.
