Hi,

No power, no lights, no nothing?
If yes and the board is new, leaves the power cord or outlet as the prime suspects.

They good. Outlet tested. Cord doesn’t trip. Before it went all out. I was told it wasn’t blowing as cold. Cleaned filter and reset the filter trip. Then week or so display not lit up and power gone.

I would think carefully testing for power where it comes into the control box to see where it stops would be a good idea.....esp to confirm you have power coming in the cord to the control box.

Before it went all out. I was told it wasn’t blowing as cold.

Yuck....maybe a system problem and then the electrical problem now :(

issue with that was after cleaning filter and filter reset. It was blowing cold and then told a week or so later that display gone and no power.

Could the board been faulty from dealer? And possibly take that fuse from new board to replace this one. Just trying not to sweat.

Immediately?

It was blowing cold and then told a week or so later that display gone and no power.

Right after the filter cleaning?

Could the board been faulty from dealer?

Bad new parts are rare, but do happen :(

And possibly take that fuse from new board to replace this one.

Is the fuse bad? Can't tell from your picture, the pic is just a fuzz ball to me.
A blown fuse is trying to tell us something else is also going on.

Yeah like filter wasn’t being cleaned leading to poor air flow requiring more power putting strain that caused fuse to blow. But I’m seeking advice

Like board swapped out no power still. Receptor hot. Cord not tripping so power coming in. Capacitor thinking where I should look next but can I get those

For me, unlikely.

Receptor hot

Power outlet?

Cord not tripping so power coming in

You don't know that without carefully testing for power where it comes into the control box to see where it stops would be a good idea.....esp to confirm you have power coming in the cord to the control box.

Capacitor thinking

The capacitor helps the fan and compressor run more efficiently....but normally will not prevent the whole unit from coming on.

But this block was cracked upon opening up unit. Can’t recall the name but could that crack cause a break in terminal keeping power from reaching?

What ?block? is broken?
No mention of this before.
Anything *physically broken* can certainly stop power.
Is there a wire diagram in the a/c?

jeff sr.

Nope and can’t locate it at all.I attached pics. Will do again and describe it too. Rectangle black with 8 wire connectors.2 white 3 black 1 orange 1 orange red wires feed into it.
