Go to youtube and put "MAV6200 inlet valve replacement" in the search field. They are not that hard to change.

I got the part you said from the company you said and it is not designed like what is on my machine. It does not drip all the time? I will return this part but unsure of what to do. I could not get hoses off back of machine anyway and I may need to replace those? Maybe I should call a repair man but they charge diagnostic trips, parts and labor. Advice??

Looks the same to me. Use a pair of channel locks to remove the hoses and clip. When you replace that part, problem solved.

Ok, on this model if the serial number of your washer starts with 18 or higher you need this water inlet valve below.

Rick may not have seen that.

So yes, yours uses this water inlet valve:

No worries Rick, It took me a little investigation they made two different water inlet valves per the serial, I'm glad the new Maytag's don't do that anymore.:)

That was Pre-Whirlpool ownership.
