Maytag Bravos MVWX655DW1:
not actually sure of the age of the washer. Purchased a home December 22, 2021. The washer came with the house. Approximately one week ago the washer developed this high-pitched squeal during the spin cycle. The squeal or squeak is constant through the whole spin cycle. Washer continues to work one do a great job as it always has since day one with me. Thanks advance for any and all help!

Sounds like possibly the splutch, its located underneath the washer, look and see if you notice it worn out, gear teeth stripping out, etc.

Also check your belt.

If both seem fine turn the transmission shaft with your hand in the spin direction with the belt and splutch off, and see if it makes that noise.
