FIXED Maytag bravos xl MVWB835DW1 vibration after transmission replacement

So I recently replaced the transmission on my Maytag bravos xl MVWB835DW1, and I'm getting a significant amount of vibration during higher speed spins (not on the low speed). When I seat the new transmission, is the rubber gasket supposed to push into the opening on the wash tub, or just push up against it?

I didn't want to over tighten the screws and strip out the plastic when putting the new transmission on. Also, I didn't use any seal protector on it when I installed it. I didn't see anything specifically about this on the other threads. Otherwise the washer is working just fine.

Hi, I haven't replaced the gearcase(transmission) on this model as of yet.

Seems to have done the trick. I didn't seat it fully the 1st time around, apparently. Underestimated how much you have to force it in, and didn't want to end up breaking the wash tub. Thanks for the help!
