hello, my Maytag Centennial Top Loaded Washer is pretty dated and it has failed to spin at times. The error codes that I can see so far are F2E1, F7E1, F7E5, F7E7. I’m not sure why the first F2E1 code is appearing as none of the buttons seem to be “stuck” but perhaps I am missing something. The other codes seem to support the fact that the washer isn’t spinning. Does anybody out there have some recommendations to what I need to start testing/diagnosing? I don’t know where to start.

Hi,

Here's your tech. data sheet: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1HKA2d9bIVnUbPoj1Lm3kaXLuAzNzwVdW/view?usp=sharing

It sounds like the optical sensor in the shift actuator is not reading the tub basket movement properly, usually the fix for that is replacing the shift actuator, I have replaced many shift actuators for this same problem in my local area and it fixed them all.

Here's the shift actuator for your model you can order here:
WPW10006355 Shift Actuator

If you want to verify that its on page 14 in your tech. data sheet I posted above, where it says "Optical Sensor".
