Good day! I have a Maytag MEDB835DW4 that has been fine for years suddenly acts as though it is not getting any power. No lights work on the console and the light inside does not work either.
The breaker did not trip, other 220 volt appliances in the breaker box work fine. I have confirmed that the dryer is getting power where the cord is connected.
Thanks for any suggestions.
Hi Steve,
I have confirmed that the dryer is getting power where the cord is connected.
Did you use a volt meter to test the voltage at the terminal block where the power cord connects to?

I see that happen a lot too, look here:

If you see no broken wires at the terminal block, then The first thing I always do is use my multimeter to do a volt test at the dryer terminal block, where the power cord connects to it.

The outer wires are hot, middle wire is neutral. So put your volt meter probes on each of the two outer wires at the terminal block and see what your meter reads, you should get 230-240 volts between the two outer wires on the terminal block.

Let us know what you find.

Do you have the exact same model number MEDB835DW4 ?

Then you will see a link that says: How to find a model number.

Here's the Terminal Block Kit for your model:

The Video to access is included in the Terminal Block Kit part link, just click the Terminal Block Kit part link. Make sure the dryer is unplugged first!
