I have had no problems with this dryer until today. It just stopped heating up and drying the clothes. I took out the wet clothing after 30 minutes, and checked to see if the tumbler was turning, and heat would come into the tumbling chamber. The tumbler turned fine, and there was heat after about 35-45 seconds. I was wondering what could cause the dryer not to heat up. What would be my next check?
Thanks for the help!

Hi,

A copy:

[h=2]Quick Gas Dryer Tips:[/h] [h=3]Problem -[/h] Gas flame comes on first few times then quits and igniter keeps cycling on and off but never lets the gas go.
[h=3]Answer ( most common ) -[/h] Replace the coils on the Gas Valve.
M Series Ignition Coil Set used on many Whirlpool/Kenmore brand gas clothes dryers since 1984. Comes with both the three terminal Boost/Hold and two terminal Secondary coil

[h=3]Problem -[/h] No flame, no igniter glowing at all.
[h=3]Answer ( most common ) -[/h] Inspect igniter for small burnt spot on dark gray or black part of igniter or check for 110 volts to igniter when dryer should be calling for heat.
Silicone Carbide Igniter Kit with ceramic holder. Used on many Whirlpool/Kenmore brands gas clothes dryers

Coils would certainly give your symptoms.
