Hi. I hope someone can help. I have a Maytag that's just over 2 years old. Usually I do a normal wash with heated dry. When things are working well, it finishes the complete cycle and the clean light stays on.

I have noticed a few times randomly in the past that everything starts up fine and runs for a while but when I come back and look it's no longer running, the clean light is no on, water is all drained out, but the dishes definitely not go through the heated dry because they are wet. Yesterday it started doing this consistently.

I've tried unplugging it and tried to get some type of error code from diagnostics mode but I do not know how to read what it's telling me with the lights when it enters diagnostic mode (no LED display - just the front lights). Anyone have any recommendations or know how to read the diagnostics? I am willing to try the repair myself if I can figure out what's wrong.

Thank you in advance.

Hi, I'm attaching your data sheet below, Page 5 is diagnostics mode, see if you get a error code.

Also check the control board. Disconnect power to your dishwasher and remove the plastic housing on your control board and carefully inspect and see if you notice any burnt spots on it.

Here's the control board for your model: W11225084 Cntrl-Elec

This video gives you the general idea of how to access the control board.

Thank you very much for the information. I’m struggling to understand how to see error codes based on the data sheet. I can get it into diagnostics mode but not really sure how to see any error codes as there are only lights on the front of the unit and no readout.

I finally got a code of 6-4. It had started working again and then stopped after a few washes. I think it may be the float switch. I removed the float switch lever, worked the float switch button up and down from the bottom and it got further in the cycle but then stopped again.

I'd first Check your float, its inside the front of the tub on the left or right side. Remove any items stuck under the float. Verify that the float moves freely up and down and you hear the “click” of the float switch contacts.

Remove the lower access panel and remove the water inlet valve electrical connector and put your multimeter leads in it(set your meter on AC VOLTS), then start a new cycle and see if your meter reads 120 volts after the cycle starts, if not, the control board is the problem if your float is not stuck UP and your float switch ohm tests good.

When the float is down, the float switch will be closed, which is continuity and should send 120 volts to the fill valve. Turn the breaker OFF to your dishwasher, then Ohm test your Float Switch WPW10195039 for continuity when the button on it is pushed in.
