Hi all,

Hope you're well. My Maytag MDB4949SKZ dishwasher is about 1 year and three months old. I left for a five-day trip, came home and it's no longer functioning properly. The dishwasher makes a loud buzzing sound and other odd noises (videos attached) and appears to pump water into the dishwasher but doesn't clean. The soap dispenser leaks soap down onto the dishes, which are wet but still dirty.

I've cleaned out the filter, snaked one of the hoses, and cleaned other easily accessible parts throughout. It doesn't display any error codes or beeps.

Any idea what's the problem?

Hi, sounds like possibly the pump filter.

You can check the pump filter inside that pump chamber, that could be broken and not allowing the motor to run, here's the part number: W11643383

Here's the dishwasher wash(circulation) motor for your model, which comes with the new filter already installed for you:
Pump Assembly W11414076

Its in-stock currently here: Base-Pump W11414076

Here's the service manual: https://drive.google.com/file/d/16JlVUq65LUiZdSpsIJJqAnEAS7sDAYHL/view?usp=sharing

Disconnect power to your dishwasher. Then you will need to remove the dishwasher from underneath your cabinet to access those parts.

Great, thank you for the help. I really appreciate it.

I forgot to add that when I ran the machine in diagnostic mode, it didn't produce any error codes. Is that unusual?

No, with noise issues it may not.

Excellent, good job.(y)

Thanks for the update!
