We've started finding water underneath the vegetable drawers in our Maytag MTB2156BE.
We presume that this is a plugged freezer drain.
We'll appreciate any info on how to access the drain, etc.
We presume that it's behind the tunnel in the freezer, but so far have been unsuccessful in removing the tunnel.
Thanks for any advice.

Hi Steve,

The temperature control console that is mounted to the top of your ceiling refrigerator, that will drop down and there is a drain hole at the rear of it, I see that clog a lot, I'd check that first.

Here's a photo of it, I circled it in RED:

Here's the instructions to drop down the temperature control console from the refrigerator ceiling.

Let us know how it goes.

Hi,
Thanks for the advice. It still leaks after doing what you said above.
There was no clog in the catch basin.
We attempted to unblock the drain tube by blowing air into it and using a long zip tie as a snake.
Apparently this didn't work.
Any other advice would be much appreciated.

Did you pour water down that drain hole and see if it flows to the drain pan underneath the refrigerator?

Apparently it was 22 years worth of dust bunnies and cat hair clogging the drain tube. Seems to be OK now. Thanks for your help.

Ok, glad to hear that was the problem and you fixed it.(y)

Thanks for the update!
