Hello all. I’m trying to self diagnose our Maytag washer. We started having issues where by the washer would go through it’s normal cycles but it wouldn’t spin. So far I have replaced the lid lock, belt and the shift actuator. To no avail, the unit won’t spin the clothes. My next thought was to replace the capacitor? The tub is fine and spins freely, no issues with the motor either. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, That's usually a bad hub when that happens.

Check your hub first.

Here's the hub for your model:

Here's a video to access/replace it:

--->Look at these photos below of the hub teeth grinded down to smooth. It should NOT be grinded down to smooth.

Let us know what you find.
