My washer is currently having problems on the spin cycle. I have been going through the steps in the technician service manual. What is happening is when I run the spin cycle it will spool up and within a few seconds of that will stop and the lid lock light will be flashing. I have ran the diagnostic mode and the only code it is throwing is F7E1 (basket speed sensor fault).

I ran it through automatic mode and the only thing(s) that didn't work was the spin tests.

I have done the tachometer mode, that checked out, so it is not the speed sensor itself, I checked for cut wires none were found, the one question I was unsure of the answer was if this model is supposed to have a counterweight, I can see the mounting holes for one, but there is not one installed. I am at the point where I need help troubleshooting, any help would be very much appreciated.

Hi,

The shift actuator is bad when it only spools up in spin then stops with the blinking lid lock light flashing. I've replaced about 7 of these same shift actuators this past summer for this same exact problem, and its fixed them all.:)

Here's the shift actuator for your model you can order - Video Included:

Also, Take the belt off and remove the transmission pulley and remove the plastic cams and see if the teeth are worn down there, If so order and replace that Splutch cam kit as well. I had one where it needed that too.

Here's the sputch cam kit for your model:

I ordered the shift actuator, I will let you know if it fixes the problem.

Ok, sounds good.

Yes, let us know.

Replaced the shift actuator, calibrated, and ran the spin tests in diagnostic mode and problem is solved, all error codes are gone, thanks a ton for the help in diagnosing the problem

Excellent Dan, glad to hear that.:)

Thanks for the update!
