Our Maytag Washer is about 15 years old, its been great generally, but I have had to replace/repair the control board a couple times. I just replaced the board, and when I was all done, I noticed a small drip from what appears to be the center of the front load washer drum. It’s not from either the drain line to the pump or pump those are both dry. The seal appears to be a discontinued part. Any thoughts on an alternative that may fit, or ways to seal the leak with the existing seal.

I’d replace it, but its built into a specific space and finding one with the right dimensions has been a challenge.

You may want to take it to a bearing/seal shop in your area and see if they can match it up with a new one.

Are there any viable alternatives to replacing the seal? Are there any silicone sealants that would work and last for any meaningful about of time?
