The washer on my Maytag Neptune MLE2000AYW will not go into spin cycle on regular or heavy setting. It will enter this cycle when set to "light". I have checked and confirmed the motor agitates during all cycles and will enter a constant spin when set to "delicates". Door lock is functioning and all indicators appear correct. No corrosion or blown caps on the controller board either from what I can tell.

Hi,

Another member with this same model was having the same problem:

Start reading at post #10, then see what I told them to do at post #11. Then you can see at his post #15 that solved it.

Let us know if that fixes yours too!

Thanks for the help! I checked the baskets on the hose attachments and they seem to be clear, if a little corroded. I will check the unbalance sensors next.

Just checked continuity on all of the unbalance sensors and everything came up good. I guess the next thing to try would be to replace the control board?

What's the serial number of yours?

Serial is: 78447297EE

Looks like the timer may not be advancing. I've already ordered a new motor control board using the part number of the current control board. Perhaps I should order a replacement timer control board as well?

Thanks,

Read this thread:

Your model uses that exact same timer Rick posted in post #2.

Here's the main control board for your model:
WP22004325 Board, Machine Control

Also look at this Burnt Resistor Chart I'm attaching below and see if any resistors on it are burnt. Make sure you unplug your machine before accessing and removing it.

Nope, as techs we don't repair down to board level. Just order the new control board.
