    ALWAYS discharge the high-voltage capacitor first if you even think your hands will come close to any HIGH VOLTAGE components.

    Jeff mentions this: Anything in the high voltage ( magnetron, capacitor, diode, wires to and from ):
    ...Use a metal ( not the shiny chrome type ) screw driver with a insulated handle to short across ( touch both at the same time ) the terminals of the high voltage capacitor to discharge it.

I currently own this Maytag Range Microwave Model MMV4205BAW. The number pad, & start button no longer work. Some number do, some don't. The start button no longer works, so we can not turn on the microwave to operate.

Any help to this solution would be greatly appreciated....

There are key panal testers you can buy, some can be ohm meter tested as per the wire diagram but most techs will just get try another key panal when some of the fuctions quit since that is the most common part.
