Maytag Range MER5755QAW bake element

My oven stopped working yesterday (won't heat above 200) although the broiler and stove top are fine. I'm guessing that the problem is the element and want to test it but am not sure how to get to it. I've been working to remove the back of the range but it appears that I need to lift the cook top to get to a couple of screws. Can you tell me how to do that? Is there anyway to get to the baking element through the inside front of the range?

Pull your range out from the wall, then take off the back access panel and you can ohm it and check voltage on it.

Normal ohms would be between 11-30 ohms. Unplug your range before ohm testing it.

You can use a volt meter to check for 240 volts across the element terminals when your oven is on.

To remove it:
Looks like your bake element is under your bottom oven panel, if so then take the screws out from your bottom panel #15 here:

Then take out your bottom panel#16, then #6 is your bake element, take that #9 screw out, then it should pull forward.

UNPLUG or TURN OFF YOUR BREAKER TO YOUR RANGE FIRST!

Thanks Jake! I used the multimeter on the bake element and that's the problem. I took the old one out and am waiting for the new part from Repair Clinic.
