My Maytag A612S washer frequently interrupts (stops) during the spin cycles. While running, it spins smoothly at the proper speed, but it is as if any little imbalance is enough to shut it off. The tub springs all look good. I replaced the tub bearing and seal 2-3 years ago. At that time, the spin speed had decrease due to a bad bearing. After replacing the bearing, the spin speed returned to normal and this problem has been developing since. Any suggestions appreciated.

Hi,

Sounds like the tub dampers are wearing out.

Here's the damper pad kit for your model, with the repair video:

Sounds good, let us know how it goes.

Replaced damper pads per Jake’s recommendation. No problem in the months since.

RIP Jake
