Hey team,
Enjoying visiting with our daughter and while doing a load today I saw that the washer did not drain and the DRN code appeared. I checked all lines from the pump to the laundry tub where the drain hose sits and all are clear.
As I removed the hose off the pump, it drained out easily towards the floor drain.
Time for a new drain pump? If it was clogged I thinking the tub would not drain so easily.
Thoughts please?

Hi Ed,

Yes, it sounds like your drain pump itself is the problem. I've seen this happen a few times in my local service area, the impeller bearing gets stripped from inside the drain pump and can't drain the water out of the tub.

Or you have something binding the drain motor impeller from turning.

Remove the drain pump and check to see if that's the case with yours.

Here's the drain pump for your model:

Watch this video to remove it:

Get a bunch of old towels to soak up water that will come out.

Let us know what you find.

Boy did I luck out! The pump had a bobby pin lodged in it. This was keeping the impeller from moving. All back together now and running as expected through a complete cycle.
Thank you!
