EDIT: this is a Maytag top load washer. Not sure how to change the tag sorry!

I have changed the shift actuator twice within 2 years using a aftermarket part.
This is the part I see people in other threads using: https://www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/Shift-Actuator/W10913953/4455082

When the washer is sensing the load/filling, the tub would fill and spin intermittently before trying to shift so the tub can agitate during the wash cycle.
Spin cycle is fine without issue.
You can hear the shifter trying to shift (clicking noise?) and eventually it does.
Sometimes the shifter would slip out and I would just need to pop it back in.

Any ideas on a permanent fix or what else I should be troubleshooting?
Thanks!~

That is a aftermarket part and they only last about a year, if at that.

If you order the OEM shift actuator you should get about 6 -10 years out of it.

OEM parts from AppliancePartsPros and RepairClinic Always has a 365 day warranty on ALL parts.

Here it is at AppliancePartsPros:
