Hey folks,
I’m in a new rental and have a Maytag MVWC565FW2 , it makes a pretty loud clicking noise while agitating, almost as though there is a loose coupling. And it also didn’t spin during the spin cycle. After doing the automatic test and a calibration, I ran a cold wash and it didn’t spin but did everything else(I think…I don’t exactly know what this what “normally” does), I checked after and it thew the f7e6 motor fault code. Hoping not to just aimlessly try to fix this, any suggestions on how to narrow down the issue. Thank you .

Hi,

In the tech data sheet--->On page 4 where it says MANUAL OVERVIEW TEST MODE get into that test mode, then look on page 9 and do the GENTLE AGITATTION and HEAVY AGITATION and see if it works good on those, also LOW SPIN and HIGH SPIN. IMPORTANT: Lid must be closed and locked to perform SPIN & AGITATE test.

F7E6 – MOTOR FAULT
Indicates an open clockwise or counterclockwise circuit of the motor.
--->See TEST #3: Drive System, page 13
--->See TEST #3b: Drive System – Motor, page 14

Here's your tech. data sheet:
