Hello,

I have a Maytag Refrigerator (Model MFC2062FEZ). Periodically there is a noise that comes from this area (presumable behind this shroud, see pic). I'm going to guess it's the evaporator fan here? How is this shroud supposed to be removed? Tried to pry, pull, slide, push, etc....can't get it off. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi, You are missing the last two digits of your model number, we would need those to assist you. The model number is located inside the refrigerator section on the upper walls or ceiling.

Here's the results I get:
MFC2062FEZ00
MFC2062FEZ01
MFC2062FEZ02
MFC2062FEZ03
MFC2062FEZ04

I think it's the Damper Control Assembly (Manufacture Part No. WPW10594329) behind this cover/box that's the issue. Thoughts?

Thanks!

Yes, you are correct.

It sounds like your air damper motor is broken/stripped and making that noise.

Here's the air damper assembly for your model you can order(Ships to Canada):
WPW10594329 Control
