We have cleaned the coils from the front, took off the rear panel and cleaned as well. The frig is cooling ok but sometimes jumps to near 40 and struggles to get to set temp if at all, currently set to 33. The freezer is fine at 0*

if I turn on power cool, it gets to temp quickly and pretty much stays there

Do you hear the freezer and ice box fan motors running when you open the freezer door and refrigerator door? Make sure you hold the door switch in when the doors are open to hear them run.

I'm attaching your tech data sheet below.

Service Test - 2 RC(refrigerator compartment) thermistor
The board will check the resistance value of the thermistor and display the results on the RC Temp Display. (01 = Pass, 02 = Open, 03 = Short)

Service Test - 3 Evaporator fan motor and air baffle motor
Turns on the evaporator fan motor and opens air baffle. Verify air flow from the evaporator fan. Check to see if the baffle opens. Status indicator will be blank.
NOTE: Ice box fan turns on simultaneously.

The ice box fan also sends cold air into the refrigerator compartment.

Here's the air damper for your model:

Yes. Both fans are running. I turned power cold off to be sure they run when off also and they do

i have a digital thermometer that tells me high and low temp. It’s been Down to 29 and up to 40 today. We are keeping the door open to a minimum

It appears ST2 & 3 pass. I’ll try again tomorrow to see if I can

Verify air flow from the evaporator fan. Check to see if the baffle opens. Status indicator was blank.

Ok, so there is good air flow through the damper?

It appears to be good airflow. That's at the vent in the left rear outside of the icemaker bin right ? It does not like the power cold off. It starts creeping up and the next thing I know its at 40 and doors have been shut

Yes, correct.

It does not like the power cold off.
Yes, that is strange, I'm not sure what's causing that then.

Hopefully another tech. that's seen that problem before can shed some light on it for us.

Yeah I’m not sure what to do. I checked the gasket on the door too. Everything looks good. I wanted to do a video but I’m somewhat prepping for a hurricane so been busy. Thx for all the help.

Yes, I've been watching it here too. I lived and went to computer school in Orlando in 1983 through 1984.

Stay Safe and evacuate if needed.
