My fridge's ice maker seems to be leaking and making ice clumps out of the ice in the tray. We have to take it out at least once a week and remove the clumps.
Reading around the forums, I saw many discussions regarding replacing the entire ice maker when this happens as parts wear out. Is this the best option?

I believe I have no issues with pressure and water comes out quickly from the water dispenser. Ice cubes are made fine, the water for ice is either leaking or overfilling.

Is this the correct part I need for my fridge if I should just replace?

Also discovered this Youtube video on replacing it. Really just looking for confirmation before I drop $250+

Thank you for your time!

Reach your hand into the ice maker tray and see if the ice level comes up to very top of the ice maker tray, if so yes the ice maker fill circuit is wearing out and causing it to overfill and leaking into the ice bucket.

The new ice maker will fix it if that's the case.

Yes. That's it. I'll order the part. I can tell because the ice cubes often come into ice tray attached from the extra water.
