• ** REMEMBER! **The microwave can still shock you even unplugged!!

ALWAYS discharge the high-voltage capacitor first if you even think your hands will come close to any HIGH VOLTAGE components.

Jeff mentions this: Anything in the high voltage ( magnetron, capacitor, diode, wires to and from ):
...Use a metal ( not the shiny chrome type ) screw driver with a insulated handle to short across ( touch both at the same time ) the terminals of the high voltage capacitor to discharge it.

Hi,

My microwave was completely dead when I went into the kitchen one morning. No clock and no light when I opened the door. No response when pushing the keypad. I confirmed the outlet is live. I removed the extrusion above the unit and saw thru the grill a fuse which I removed with needle-nose pliers. Checked okay with an ohmmeter.

Getting the fuse back in the clips will be another issue.

Appreciate the help.

Thanks, Rick, The one I pulled matches the picture and is 1 1/4 inches long. I rechecked with an ohmmeter and I am reading 0 ohms which I believe indicates it is okay. Can you tell me how to reinstall the fuse? What would be the next steps in finding out why it is not working?

Thanks

If you are getting no lights at all on the control panel and the fuse is good, that indicates your control board went out.

Unfortunately it's been discontinued:
#3 is your PCB control board and its Not Available.
