I recently began using my ice maker again after being disconnected for some time. It worked fine as far as making ice, however at the same time, it was leaking water from the maker into the bin, around bin, and into the fridge.

This would stop when the maker was turned off. From what I could gather online, the most common answer to my issue was the ice maker assembly. I ordered a new one, replaced it and still have the same issue. Here’s the kicker. I never checked the water function.

When I checked that finally, there was good pressure and the water dispenser seemed to work well when fill a glass. However when I opened the door, water was pouring from the ice maker. What is my issue? Do I need to change the water inlet valve? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Ok, sounds good.

There are instructions on there to tell how to replace it.
