Have a Maytag Bravos automatic washer. Starting making a loud noise during the spin cycle sounded like a jet engine. Replaced the bearings, seal and shaft. Now it makes a loud banging sound at the end of the wash cycle as it switches turning the agitator.

Hi,

If it wasn't making this loud banging sound before you replaced the bearings, then its something that you possibly did or didn't do when you put the machine back together.:)

Make sure that rotor bolt is very tight too.

For others following your thread:

Here's the drive shaft repair kit for this model:
Tub Seal and Bearing Kit W10435302

When you click that part link, you will see a video on how to do it.

Here's the Bearing driver and Seal tool to replace it:

It was not making this noise before we replaced Tub seal and bearing kit. The noise it was making before sounded like an jet engine taking off when spinning! Now that we replace the Tub seal and bearing kit it we have the thumping or large banging noise at the end of the cycle when the spin starts and stops. We followed directions exactly as the video specified no problem mounting the bearings, shaft and new seal at all. Re checked the nut on the end of the shaft and it's tight as well.

Ok, I don't know what's causing it then if you replaced it properly.
