Not too long ago, I had to replace both a gearcase and agitator to my Maytag MVWB765FW0 washer.
Operation is now spotty. Every once in a while (if I had numbers, I'd guess every 4th or 5th load?) washer stops somewhere mid-cycle and shuts down leaving my clothes too wet for the dryer.
When it shuts down doesn't seem consistent since the remaining water might be soapy or there might be fabric softener or fabric softener and OxyClean still in the tray.
The first time I checked error codes, I found F0 E5 and an F7 (over temperature IIRC. I lost my note.
). I cleared the error codes to make sure nothing old was in there and every time it stops, it's always for F0 E5.
The point I'm getting at is, out of balance isn't new, but they weren't happening as often as they are now.
It seems to be a big coincidence this problem seems to be happening more often after replacing the gearcase and agitator. So did I mess something up or knock something loose?
Where do I start looking?
