Posted previously that washer was loud during spin due to bearings. Replaced the gear case and now I have this click sound when the tub changes direction (counter clockwise to clockwise). I vaguely recall this being an occasional thing previously, but I can’t be sure. Thoughts?

I will mention that I thought the tub or suspension parts might be hitting something when it changed direction since the tub shifts back in the washer when it does that. But I haven’t been able to replicate that by moving the tub around.

Was it clicking like that before you replaced the transmission(gearcase)?

Did you install the shift actuator back on properly?

Here it is, (also called Slider):
Shift Actuator W10734521

Watch this video and check it:

I don’t remember for sure if this noise is new. I don’t think it was doing it. I remember being careful in taking the shift actuator off because I wanted to be sure of the order the parts went back on. I guess I could check that it’s installed right. Do these go bad? I could try a new one.

The shift actuators on these models are very rare to go bad, but can happen.

Yes, watch the video I posted above to make sure you put it back on properly.
