Maytag Bravos XL Washer (Code LD - Long Drain)

MOD. MVWB850YW0
SER. C13572628
TYPE: 580-05

FYI: Sears Service Warranty completely rebuilt the entire machine... bearings, pumps, electronics, etc.!
Drain Pump motor is humming/spinning (also hearing a "clattering" noise), but not draining. Unplugged power & Turned off water valves!
Removed back cover. Drained remaining water in tub into bucket by lowering hose below tub level.
Tilted machine forward, then used auto jack stand to hold up for access to pump housing... removed pump.
No blockage whatsoever, as expected, since the draining was so quick.
The Pump "impeller"(plastic) was disconnected from the drive shaft (causing clattering), however will not "snap" back in place, and is obviously loose.
Motor shaft turns by hand, but not as expected... it "jumps" as if going over a hump of resistance, but smoothly. White O-ring on shaft is visible & undamaged.
Can I replace the Impeller only, as the motor is fine?

Please advise.
Thanks in advance!

Hi,

Normally there are no parts for the parts.
Just comes complete.

Motor shaft turns by hand, but not as expected... it "jumps"

Most times, that is normal.

Thanks so much! Much appreciated!
So sad I have to replace entire pump assembly for a simple plastic impeller!

How much water is too much?

RE:
Hydration Tip:
Drink 1 gallon of water a day helps you avoid other people's drama because you are too busy peeing!
Stay hydrated.
