Hello all,
I'm trying to fix my Maytag MVWX500XW0 which gets stuck on wash cycle and starts flashing the lid lock indicator. I don't think this is a lid lock issue though (lid lock works fine in manual diagnostic mode).
1.I ran diagnostic mode and got: "Motor control fault. Test 3b" and "Basket speed sensor fault. Test 3a".
2. I also ran auto test mode and it will sometimes complete this cycle and other times fault out on the agitation step.
3.I also ran manual test mode and it passes every step (including agitation and spin where it normally fails during normal wash cycle).
4. I tried running calibration test before changing any parts-all the indicators light up, there is a electronic humming noise coming from the control board, after about 5 seconds the machine engages to either spin or agitate (I'm assuming), and then the calibration fails and all the lights turn off except for lid lock flashing
5. I tested motor control fault test 3b. and checked the 50uF capacitor. It was only holding 16uF, so I replaced it and thought I good to go.
6. Cleared codes, started calibration - and same result as above - calibration fails. Unit continues to give Motor control fault.
Any ideas would be great.
Thanks
