Hi everyone. I joined this forum in hopes to find the solution for my problems. I have a Maytag Bravos MCT, and as of recently it began making a loud rubbing type noise when agitating a full load. This happened out of nowhere and began immediately. I ordered a replacement pulley kit for it from Amazon and replaced everything, and noticed about an hour later the nut to the pulley was loose. So I retightened it and tried again but the noise is still there when agitating. I’m at a loss at the moment. No error codes present..

Is there a certain torque spec for the pulley nut?

I’m not a repair tech for these machines but I do automotive repair so I am savvy. Cheers

We see a lot of problems from getting parts from amazon, those are mainly aftermarket parts and do not always work properly. Did it fix the rubbing noise?

Here's the OEM splutch cam kit for your model:

The pulley nut has to be super tight.

Hi Jake. I ended up calling a tech and the issue ended up being a stripped driven hub plate. I’m going to return the Amazon stuff and buy Genuine OEM.
