Hi All, I am attempting to replace the control board on my Maytag MVWX655DW1 top loading washing machine. I ordered the part recommended here (W11116592) second hand and the seller sent an alternative board which he said is interchangeable with my board. The boards look identical, however, one socket, which the fabric softener and extra rinse knobs connect to, is oriented in the opposite orientation on the new board. I've included photos below. All other connectors on the board look the same.

My original part is W10803588 and the new part is W10916483.

Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but can I just flip the wiring harness so that the tabs align properly?

That W10916483 has been updated even further to Control Board W11116592.

No, contact the seller and get a full refund, he is WRONG, they are NOT interchangeable.

Jake, I have a follow up question: I know that the board my machine came with (W10803588) has been revised several times and the current model is W11116592. When I am replacing the board, is it important to get the most recent version, or will the one it shipped with be sufficient?
