This has been tough to nail down because it does not happen all the time. I called for service because the oven took 30+ minutes to heat to 400, frequently with a long pause along the way. There were other subtle heating issues that I didn't document so was not sure what circumstances surrounded them. It did heated to 350 in 20 mn for the service guy which he said was normal. $150 for that bit of info.

The oven never seems quite right and finally while trying to broil, I noted the coil never really glowed and after a while hardly heated at all. I replace the element, tested it and all was good...for a day. Same old symptom, hot but not really hot and after a while just warm. All the while the oven seemed fine and would heat to 500, the problem seemed to be when the broiler element is involved, convection roast and broil. ....but....not every time . There are no error codes. Any ideas?

Intermittent problems are the hardest to nail down.

What I do is check for 240 volts at the element terminals when you have it in BROIL. If your not getting 240 volts, then the oven relay control board is the problem.

Recheck your model number, the closest I come is NE58K9560WS/AA

Thank you .Model number, sorry- you are correct is is "WS" not WA. I did get 240 at the element when I installed the new element but when I tried the broiler immediately after installation, it worked fine so I thought I was in the clear. A few days later I was baking and tried to switch to broil and it would not heat up, I tried a could of more times using the "roast" setting and it would not heat the next day it heated up perfectly. All the while the oven element seemed to work fine.
It is hard to test the voltage when the system is not working properly since the range is a semi-permanent slide in and I have to partially remove the wall behind it to get to the connections. The wall is made to be removed for repair but t isn't easy...I suppose that is next.

Yes, I agree. Not much else you can do though to check the voltage when it acts up.
