About two days ago our dryer started to shut off mid cycle. We did have the dryer vent cleaned and the dryer does get hot inside. We tried again after having the vent clean and it is still having the same issue. After about five minutes of running it continues to shut off.

Yes. But always continues to shut off after a few minutes. If I put it on 60 it normally runs until about right before 20 and then shuts off but I’ve tried it at all different times and regardless it continues to shut off

If I put it on 60 it normally runs until about right before 20 and then shuts off .......... Lasts about 5 mins and turns back off
So it runs about 40 minutes then shuts off and after that it only runs 5 minutes then shuts off ? I've seen the thermal fuse be intermittent before so try this; Temporarily bypass the thermal fuse. Take the two wires off the thermal fuse and short them together. If necessary, put a piece of black tape around the wire ends to hold them together. Try a load and see if the dryer still shuts off.

Thank you for your help. It’s an Amana dryer. Do you have advice on where thats located on that brand ? Or a link to a video on showing how to do it? Thank you again

Your model was made by Whirlpool and it's easy to work on. Pull the dryer away from the wall, unplug it and remove the vent hose. Remove the back panel. The thermal fuse is located on the blower housing. Remove the 2 wires on the thermal fuse and push the ends together. Make sure it doesn't touch anything or use black tape. Start the dryer and see if it shuts off.

OK, Run the dryer until it stops. As soon as it stops press the start switch and see if it turns back on. I fit turns back on and runs normally, something is interrupting the motor circuit. Check the wire harness connectors at the motor and at the timer and the door switch. Make sure you don't have loose connection and all the wires are on tight. If they check good replace the timer.

Yes, As soon as it turns off and we push to start it turned back on. Everything looks to be connected well. I put a picture of the back of the dryer. Are you able to tell me where the timer is located?
