Need shallow depth gas range

For some reason the person that built my house only made a 22" depth cut out for a gas range into a marble counter top island (its not against a wall, there's maybe 12" of marble on the back side of current range). I've been looking for replacement ranges and I can't find a shallow slide in gas range that 30". Any advice? Is AJ Madison the biggest online retailer?

Will freestanding work as slide in?

Will freestanding work as slide in?

I don't see why not. Both should meet similar external temperature limitations.

Is AJ Madison the biggest online retailer?

I have no idea of their market share. They do have one of the more useful web sites IMO.
