I recently bought this new, never used electric dryer (Samsung DVE45T6000W) at a dent and ding place. I installed it and it makes a really loud scraping noise when it runs. Otherwise it seems to work fine. Here's a video of the dryer running.

This isn't normal, is it? It sounds like the drum is rubbing on something.

I'm thinking my next step is to take a panel off to see if I can figure out what's rubbing. The back panel I assume? Any other advise?

Thanks in advance,
-Peter

I found the problem and fixed it.

I took the top panel off (2 screws) and saw that the drum takes up ALL of the space between the side panels. Three drum was scraping the side of the panels. I bent out the side panels slightly by sticking a yard stick down between the drum and panel, put the top panel back on and it works like it's the new dryer that it is.

They should really allow for some clearance between the drum and side panel. Terrible design.
