• ** REMEMBER! **The microwave can still shock you even unplugged!!

ALWAYS discharge the high-voltage capacitor first if you even think your hands will come close to any HIGH VOLTAGE components.

Jeff mentions this: Anything in the high voltage ( magnetron, capacitor, diode, wires to and from ):
...Use a metal ( not the shiny chrome type ) screw driver with a insulated handle to short across ( touch both at the same time ) the terminals of the high voltage capacitor to discharge it.

The carousel in our microwave suddenly quit rotating a couple years ago. The oven still works well.

A start might be looking into the turntable motor under the unit. Checking it for continuity to see if it might be burned out is likely necessary.

LINK > How do I test for continuity?

If the motor did not test open, someone might next need to confirm if power was getting to it when it should be running. The motor used looks to be 120 volts.

If it was not even getting power, someone might need to look into the control system and wiring to the motor.

You don't happen to have a link to a diagram on this do you?

No I don't.
