• ** REMEMBER! **The microwave can still shock you even unplugged!!

ALWAYS discharge the high-voltage capacitor first if you even think your hands will come close to any HIGH VOLTAGE components.

Jeff mentions this: Anything in the high voltage ( magnetron, capacitor, diode, wires to and from ):
...Use a metal ( not the shiny chrome type ) screw driver with a insulated handle to short across ( touch both at the same time ) the terminals of the high voltage capacitor to discharge it.

I posted about a microwave a little over two years ago, it wasn't working. I decided to buy a new one instead of repairing.
Now the NEW ONE isn't working either.

It has something to do with the digital display. It started beeping then resetting itself then beeping. It would still work for a while now it won't heat or respond to key commands except "stop/reset".

It's a Panasonic 1250w "the genius sensor 1250w".

Model number: NN-T9455FX
Serial: 6F06141280

I would like to repair this one as it's so new.

Thanks in advance. I've never worked on a microwave before successfully btw, actually only attempted it once.

The only thing close to that model number that I could find is NNT990. Is this a countertop unit or over the range unit? It appears to be a countertop unit. The problem sounds like it's going to be the control board that's bad. The price for these microwaves has come way down. There's a good chance the control board will cost more than a new microwave.

Looks like the reason I can't find it is it's been discontinued and there are no parts available for it. I looked up the NNT990 which is a later model and most of the parts have also been discontinued. So I guess that solves that problem. Sorry

Haha, I just can't believe the reliability and performance of Chinese made products.

I think Im Going to start buying used microwaves, found one 10 mikes away for 14 dollars, so what if it only lasts a few years, apparently new ones do as well.

Thank you for anyway your looking into the matter.

Be careful buying used. A lot of the time you end up buying someone else's problems. I know a guy that bought a used microwave and found out it was full of cockroaches two days later.
